Choi Myeonghui's noble "Honbul" was praised for taking Korean Literature to a higher level by describing Korea's history and spirit through beautiful Korean language. The late author was from Jeonju. In the Literature Museum, her manuscripts and handwritten letters to friends are on show. This Museum was established to preserve her legacy and works, to study the meaning of traditional culture from the perspective of human history and to promote cultural exchange between countries. By working together with citizens, it aims to serve as a Korea's representative cultural institution which is closed related to people, studies Jeonju's history, develops culture contents and respects the spirit of local writers such as Choi Myeonghui.
