DDP LED Rose Garden: a warm spot in the midst of the futuristic architecture.
Next to the Yigansumun Exhibition Hall at DDP, 25.550 electronic roses are spread out over quite a distance. This exhibition will be available at DDP until February 29th.
When the rose garden first debuted last fall, it was loved by many and thus became somewhat of a permanent exhibition starting from April. Families, friends, lovers stroll by to get a picture in with the beautiful sight.
The reason behind the number 25,550 is to celebrate the 70th year anniversary of Gwangbok-Jeol, Korea's version of Independence Day (365 multiplied by 70 equals 25,550). The rose has also been deemed as the most likeable flower by Koreans for 20 consecutive years.
