About
Olleh Avenue (the old SHOW Style Shop or the W Style Shop) is a digital complex where visitors can try out a wide range of WiBro services. WiBro is short for “Wireless Broadband Internet", the newest variety of mobile wireless broadband access. WiBro allows for users to connect to the internet while on the go, even while traveling at speeds of 60 km/hr. All that users need to connect to the internet is a WiBro-enabled device. Korea was the first country in the world to launch a general-purpose WiBro service in 2006.
Olleh Avenue features themed spaces on each of its five floors. The themes are not just limited to the WiBro experience, but include making UCC (User Created Content), a seminar room, a book café and a game zone where visitors can enjoy various digital recreational activities.
An IT& entertainment center
The W Gallery on the first floor features the Gallery Zone, a space that displays UCC videos, and the W Stage where various events and cultural performances are held. The interior design of the space matches the concept of Olleh Avenue; whole panes of glass have been installed everywhere to represent the world of invisible wireless internet.
The W Experience on the second floor features the latest WiBro modems, phones and PMPs (Portable Media Player) for visitors to try out and experience the practical application of WiBro devices.
The third floor features a community space called W Community. Five seminar rooms, each equipped with office equipment such as a photocopier and printers are available for use by societies, associations, study groups and seminar groups. Guest are free to use laptops, beam projectors and wireless internet access as well.
The fourth floor is a space for a more active digital experience. There is a studio for taking pictures or filming videos and an editing suite fitted with editing equipment. Guests can create UCC with the assistance of experts and any work completed can be stored on a CD for users to take with them. The studio is available for rent at a rate of \5,000/hr; reservations can be made via online or in person at the information desk on the first floor.
The first basement floor features an entertainment space that includes a book café, PlayStation and QOOK TV service and the outdoor café on the rooftop is a place where visitors can unwind and rest.
